True or false?

Diet drinks are bad for you?

Many people are concerned or under the impression that diet drinks are bad for you, they hear stories regarding stroke, inhibiting weight loss, causing type 2 diabetes, insulin spikes etc.

The truth is at this moment in time the studies show there is insufficient data regarding this topic. A majority of studies have been done but they are not factually accurate due to not having the participants consume equal calories, so any fat loss inhibited cannot be attributed to diet soda.

In regards to stroke, the studies on this looked for a association, there was no actual study just a corrilation between things. For example if you look at the amount of films Nicholas Cage has appeared in and the amount of people drowned in a pool for a given year, you would think Nic Cage had some influence over this. Its very unlikely that his movies do cause anyone to drown in a pool! Pretty sure none are that bad!
So correlation is not causeation.

In regard to losing weight, again no link at all to show any issue with losing weight. The only thing that has been found is that those drinking it when trying to lose weight have been found to under estimate colorie intake. This is then what contributes to not losing any weight. Not the diet soda. Alongside a higher craving for sweetened foods, so it is more likely the craving response is causing this more than the diet drink itself by eating higher calorie foods.

Yes there is a very small insulin secretion with aspartame but it is so small that it doesnt have any effect practically according to current research.

So, currently not enough research exists on this topic, there may be some issues found as more research is done but the worst thing so far seems to be potential issues around dental hygiene or tooth decay, although still not as bad as the full sugar alternative.

Have friends? Hmmmm, whats it like? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Sorry, this post isnt about my non exisitant social life, this post is to say that in November we will be running a bring a friend week.

This means that you can bring someone that may have said they would like to try the sessions or see what its all about with you.

Then Sarah and I will torture them and you then lose a friend! Erm no sorry, we will train them with you and they get to see what it is you have been telling them all about.

Each friend will be able to come twice in that week with you.

Obviously we will need things such as Par Q etc but all details on how that will be done will be sent out closer to the day.

So go on, find those friends you have always wanted to lose from your life and bring them to us!!! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
